Silverton Current Models
Silverton Marine offers models in five distinct model lines with designs for almost every buyer. All Silverton models offer a well-constructed and assembled product at a lower base cost with standard features, than perhaps any other builder here. All models come with a long list of available optional equipment, much of which may be included as standard by other builders. Most models, even over 40 feet, come standard with gas engines, although diesels are optional, though moderate.
Sport Coupe Models
The Sport Coupe is almost like an enclosed Express model. The helm, located on the port side, is solidly inside. Facing bench seats along the sides are typical express layout except that they are indoor fabric furniture and one is a convertible sofa for two. The aft of the enclosed area includes dual sliding glass doors, which can be closed or left open for an open feel and easy movement to the cockpit.
33 Sport Coupe
Introduced in 2007, the 33 Sport Coupe is the first model in this new design line. The galley, located forward in the cabin area and opposite the helm, is small and lean, with corian countertops, a microwave, under-counter refridge, and a one burner electric cooktop. Shore power is a single 30 amp connection. AC and generator are optional items. The head does not include a shower. The hull design has 14 deg of deadrise aft, which should provide a smooth ride, but even the advertising does not suggest offshore activities. Available power is twin Crusader gas of 275 or 375 HP (not the 8.1L engines) or twin Yanmar diesels of 315 HP. None of these should produce a lot of speed in a deep V hull of this size.
Convertible Models
The Silverton Convertible model line is more of a flybridge cruiser line than a combination cruiser/fisher, although a few fishing options are offered. As cruisers these models are designed to provide satisfactory cruising for the economy market that Silverton serves. Front windows are standard and provide an open feeling in the cabin. Side windows can be opened and are screened, partly because AC is an option on some models. Corian countertops are standard in the galley. Hull shapes include a moderate V carried to the rear, providing a soft ride. Power is moderate, relying on gas in the smaller sizes.
33 Convertible
The 33 Convertible was introduced in 2007 as the smallest model in the Convertible line. Inside it is almost identical to the 33 Sport Coupe, except an extended sofa replaces the helm of the Coupe. There are two staterooms and a small head squeezed into the forward bow area, similar to the Coupe. The galley is small and identical. A pedestal table is added in the Convertible with seating on just one side. A fixed stairway leads from the cockpit to the flying bridge. The helm position is located about 60% across the front of the bride, toward the starboard, to allow room for the staircase. All other seating is behind the captain's seat. Standard and optional items are similar, including AC and generator. Available power is the same with twin gas of 275 or 375 HP, or diesel 315 HP.
36 Convertible
The 36 Convertible was also introduced in 2007 with the 33 Convertible. With just a little more room it provides an improved design over the 33. The master stateroom in the bow provides a centerline queen berth. A stall shower, separate from the head, is accessed from the master stateroom. The guest stateroom is separated from the master and includes bunk beds. The galley is enlarged with a full-size refridgerator/freezer and a 2-burner electric cooktop. And in the salon, a curved sofa provides seating on two sides of a dinette table. The larger flying bridge has the helm seat centered and a second chair added. 8.1L Crusader gas engines of 385 and 425 HP are added to the offerings of the 33, although no larger diesels are offered.
38 Convertible
The 38 convertible was introduced in 2003, just three years after the first model in this new line, the 42 Convertible. The interior layout follows the 42's layout within size constraints. A centerline Queen berth is in the master stateroom forward, and twin berths in the guest stateroom. The head and shower are separated and on opposite sides of the boat. A galley is located along one wall and includes a two-burner stove and under-counter refridgerator/freezer. A dining table in the saloon has seating on two sides. It provides additional saloon seating facing the convertible sofa. Air conditioning and generator are optional on this model. Engine access is from the cockpit. Available power is twin Crusader gas of 385-425 HP or diesels of 370-440 HP from Volvo and Yanmar.
42 Convertible
The 42 Convertible was introduced in 2000 as the first of the current line of Convertibles. It replaced the 41 Convertible that was produced during the 1990s with a newer, updated design. The 42 Convertible includes a master stateroom forward with a centerline queen berth and guest stateroom with a double berth. There is a single head and a separate shower stall. A nice galley is well equipped with full refridge/freezer, microwave and two-burner range. The main saloon is nicely arranged with an all-to-rare booth style dinette that serves four to six and also provides additional seating in the saloon where it faces the convertible sofa. A generator and Air Conditioning are standard on this model. Engine room access is from the cockpit. Originally offered with gas engines and diesel options, current power appears to be only larger diesels from Yanmar and Cummins of 440-500 HP.
45 Convertible
The 45 Convertible was introduced in 2006. It is the first in the Convertible series to provide three staterooms and two heads. The master stateroom includes a centerline queen berth and private head with enclosed shower. One guest staterooms contains a double berth, the other a pair of twin berths. A second head with enclosed shower serves the guest staterooms. The U-shaped galley contains a microwave and 3-burner cooktop, and under-counter refridgerator/freezer. A setee along the starboard saloon side includes a dining table and faces the port sofa to provide additional salon seating. AC and Generator are standard. Engine room access is from the cockpit. Available power is Volvo diesels of 500-715 HP on straight inboards.
50 Convertible
The 50 Convertible was introduced in 2006 as the largest boat ever produced by Silverton. The 16'3" beam creates plenty of interior volume. The forward stateroom is designed as a guest stateroom with centerline queen berth. It shares a head and shower with the second guest stateroom, having over-under bunks. The master stateroom, on the port side, is larger, also with a free-standing queen berth and private head with shower. The saloon is similar to the 45 Convertible, although larger, with a U-shaped galley and port dining table. Available power is 715-800 HP Volvo
T-Series Tournament Models
The T-Series, or Tournament model line, was introduced in 2007 with the 45-T and 50-T models. These are modified versions of the Convertible models designed with a fishing emphasis. The layout and interior features are similar if not identical to the Convertibles. Slightly larger engines than even options are standard on the T-Series. The flying bridge is modified to provide 360 degree visibility with elimination of the radar arch and redesign of the hardtop. Portholes in the forward hull have been eliminated for improved seaworthiness. Bait wells and fish boxes are standard, but serious equipment like outriggers and fighting chairs are an option. Colored gelcoat is listed as a no-cost option, so pick your color.
45 T-Series
Introduced in 2007, the 45-T provides a more serious fishing platform than the almost identical 45 Convertible. The hull carries the same 13 degrees of deadrise to the transom. Increased standard power with 720 HP Yanmars is larger than the optional engines available on the Convertible. The forward windows remain standard, even with portholes eliminated. The cockpit includes a transom livewell and in-deck fishboxes, plus storage for fishing gear, as well as salt and fresh water washdowns, all standard. A fighting chair, outriggers, and cockpit pads are optional. Engine room access is from the cockpit.
50 T-Series
The 50-T was introduced in 2007, based on the 50 Convertible. The front windows have been eliminated on the 50-T, along with the portholes in the forward hull. The radar arch and flying bridge hardtop remain identical on the 50-T, unlike the changes on the 45. The bow and grab rails are stainless on the 50-T, rather than aluminum on the 45-T. In the cockpit, additional options are teak decking and an icemaker in the cockpit floor. Other options and standards are identical to the 45-T. The larger engines standard on the 50-T are 825 HP MTU inboards.
Sport Bridge Models
The Sport Bridge model line was inaugurated in 2005 with the 38 Sport Bridge. This model line takes a further step toward cruising, short trips and day trips. The namesake highlight is the large flybridge that has been extended over the cockpit, limiting the fishing usage. Buyers will want to add optional sun cover to at least part of the flybridge. The helm is forward leaving plenty of open space on the bridge. A second helm station below is an option on both current models, but does affect inside layout. The foredeck is high and large and includes a sunpad. Access to the foredeck is directly from the flybridge, which is limited in that there is no access along the side of the boat from the cockpit. The cockpit is moderate in size and covered by the flybridge. A transom door provides direct access to the swim platform. Inside the salon is roomy, with front windows, and generally well appointed. Stateroom, head and shower provide cruising accommodations. The hull deadrise is a little less on these models, at about 12 degrees, which should improve performance with smaller engines in good water.
38 Sport Bridge
The 38 Sport Bridge, introduced in 2005, was the first in the Sport Bridge model line. This model was an immediate best seller and would lead to an expanded line. The 38 Sport Bridge includes a master stateroom forward and guest stateroom with twin beds. Separate head and shower, located on opposite sides of the boat are also forward. A shallow U-shaped galley is forward in the salon, and a dining table is included along the port setee. Displacement is almost 30,000 lbs loaded, which even with a slightly flatter bottom, seems heavy for standard gas engines. Available power is twin Crusader gas inboards of 385-425 HP or diesels from Volvo and Yanmar of 370-435 HP.
43 Sport Bridge
The 43 Sport Bridge was introduced in 2006 following the very successful introduction of the 38 Sport Bridge. It also provided an alternative to the discontinued 43 Motoryacht. On the flybridge, the helm on the 43 is at the starboard side rather than centered as on the 38, otherwise the room and layout is nice. Adding a cover to the flybridge may be challenging as the layout is an unusual shape and is wider at the rear then forward. Inside the extra space enables a larger, more dedicated dinette to be located directly opposite the galley. The forward master stateroom includes a freestanding, centerline queen berth, ensuite head and direct access to a separate, shared shower. A guest stateroom includes both a double berth and a single berth. And the convertible sofa in the saloon provides additional berthing, rivaling capacities on the discontinued large motoryacht. Available power is twin Volvo Diesels of 370 or 435 HP on IPS Drives. This may be the first Silverton model to use IPS drives.
Motor Yacht Models
The current Motor Yacht model line was inaugurated in 2002 with the 39 Motor Yacht. The current line is a complete redesign of the Motor Yacht to replace the previous line of motor yachts.
35 Motor Yacht
The 35 Motor Yacht was introduced in 2003 to replace the previous 352 Motoryacht. The aft cabin contains the master stateroom with an athwartship bed and private head with shower. A second stateroom in the bow contains an angled double bed and private access to a separate shower, the forward head is in the hall. The galley includes a 2-burner electric range, microwave and full-size refridgerator/freezer. A dinette offers three sided seating but is not quite a booth. The only access to the bow is from the bridge. This boat has been kept to 22,600 lbs dry with 13 degrees of deadrise and draft of just 2'11" thanks to prop pockets. Available power is twin Crusader gas 385-425 HP or twin Yanmar diesels of 315 HP.
39 Motor Yacht
The 39 Motor Yacht was introduced in 2002 to replace the previous 392 Motoryacht. The aft cabin contains the master stateroom with an athwartship bed and private head. The shower stall, also in the aft cabin, is separate. A second stateroom in the bow contains an angled double bed and private access to the forward head and shower. The galley includes a 3-burner electric range and oven, microwave and full-size refridgerator/freezer. A dining table in the salon is set along a setee providing seating on one side. The cockpit is above the aft cabin with 4 steps up to the flybridge and 4 steps down to the swim platform. A hardtop covers the entire cockpit. There is no standard cover over the flying bridge. This boat has been kept light at 24,900 lbs dry, with just 13 degrees of deadrise. Available power is twin Crusader gas 385-425 HP or four diesel choices of 370-440 HP.
