Henriques Yachts Current Models
The current boat line from Henriques is larger than ever with 42 Express and Flybridge models introduced in 2006 and a new 30 Express introduced in 2008. The Henriques line includes a nice assortment of midsize boats with Express models from 28 to 42 and Flybridge models from 35 to 50 feet. These are sizes long abandoned by most other quality manufacturers.
Express Models
28 Express
The 28 Express, introduced in 1995, is an affordable offshore boat. Standard equipment includes twin diesels, welded tower with second control position, hardtop and canvas. Single engine is an option. The cockpit is 70 sq. ft. with bolsters, a transom door, fishbox, fresh and saltwater washdowns and storage. Outriggers are available as an option. Inside is a standup head, electric toilet, and shower. The galley includes a refridgerator/freezer and microwave. The V-berth doubles as a dinette with an adjustable table. All seating except for the v-berth is in the canvas-enclosed cockpit.
30 Express
The 30 Express is new for 2008 fitting nicely between the 28 and the 35. Henriques designed a new deep-V hull for their latest model providing an even smoother ride. This model comes standard with twin diesels and a generator. The large cockpit includes a transom door, insulated fish boxes, fresh and saltwater washdowns, a sink and storage, plus a reinforced cockpit sole to accept a fighting chair. Inside the forward berth is full size. The separate dinette is convertible. The galley includes microwave and refridgerator/freezer.
35 Express
The 35 Express was introduced in 2000 and derived from the successful 38 model. The 35 comes standard with twin diesels, a generator and air conditioning with heat. The cockpit is 100 sq. ft. with a transom door, and reinforced cockpit sole to accept a fighting chair, twin 100 gallon fish boxes and fresh and saltwater washdowns. Inside the galley includes a refridgerator/freezer and microwave, and adds a stovetop over smaller models. A dinette is convertible. This semi-custom builder offers a choice of designs for the forward stateroom. A fish tower is optional as are outriggers and a cockpit freezer.
38 El Bravo
The 38 El Bravo was re-introduced in 2000 after a short hiatus. It was a successful model in the early 1990s that other express models have copied. It comes standard with twin diesels, generator and air conditioning with heat. The cockpit on the 38 is 140 sq. ft. with a transom door, twin 100 gallon fish boxes and fresh and saltwater washdowns. The fiberglass hardtop is standard, though the once-standard tuna tower is now optional. Twin diesels are located under the cockpit with power from 430-465 HP, or higher, producing top speeds over 30mph.
42 Express
The 42 Express was added in 2006 with the 42 Sportfisherman. It brings new levels of power with twin diesels to 900 HP. Interior design features present current design standards, with curved seating in the enclosed section of the cockpit. The galley and head feature corian sinks and countertops. The head also includes a separate stall shower. Outside the cockpit is a large 155 sq. ft. with two in-deck fish boxes. The bridgedeck has three captains chairs and curved seating for several more. Available power is twin diesels of 600-900 HP.
Flybridge Models
35 Flybridge
The 35 Flybridge was introduced in 2002 and is built on the same hull as the 35 Express. This model includes a forward master stateroom and an optional guest stateroom or larger galley on the lower level. The cockpit offers 100 sq. ft. of space with plenty of fishing features built in. The flybridge has an aft helm with seating in front of the helm. Engine access is in the saloon partly due to the athwarship bridge ladder in the cockpit, and other equipment. Available power is twin diesels of 350-450 HP producing top speeds to 35 mph.
38 Flybridge
The 38 Flybridge was updated about 1999 with a brighter, modern interior in a floorplan similar to earlier versions of this long-popular model. The standard layout includes a single stateroom forward with either a queen berth or over-under single v-berths, a convertible booth dinette and galley. An alternate layout includes a guest stateroom with bunk beds. A bleached ash wood interior provides an almost white appearance. The saloon includes a convertible sofa and has been upgraded with better seating, blinds and curtains. The cockpit is designed for fishing with 140 sq ft of space, in-deck fish boxes, transom door, and cockpit freezer. Engine room access is provided in the cabin. Available power was twin straight inboard twin diesels of 420-500 HP producing speeds of 20-35 mph.
42 Flybridge
The 42 Flybridge was introduced in 2005 to replace the 44 Sportfisherman and to bridge the gap between the 38 and 50 Flybridge models. It was based on the 38 footer and provided a deeper V, at 14 degrees, than the earlier 42 footer. It was also designed to handle more power. The cockpit is large at 155 sq. ft. and includes all the usual fishing features. Access to the engine room is provided from the cockpit on this model. The interior includes a booth-style dinette in the saloon and a galley on the lower level. A master stateroom in the bow includes a queen berth or single berths. The guest stateroom provides bunk beds. Available power includes twin 660-800 HP diesels.
50 Flybridge
The 50 foot Flybridge model has been designed for at least several years but it appears few have been produced. A promised redesigned offering is in the works. The 50 Flybridge promises traditional Henriques values including a 260 sq. ft. cockpit with a "day head", an enclosed flybridge and a 30 knot cruise with 36 knot top end using Caterpillar C-18 diesels.
