Egg Harbor Current Models

The current Egg Harbor model lineup has been put together since the company was reconstituted under a new owner - yet again, in 1999. Though consisting of only four models, it is well thought out. It also recognizes Egg Harbor's historical strengths and has continued down that path to comfortable, versatile and affordable yachts. Most of the models are called Sport Yachts, the model name which Egg Harbor began using just before they closed in 1997.

Predator 35 Express

The Predator 35 Express was added to the model line in 2003 with the intent to add a high performance open model to the lineup. Rather than design and develop a new model, this boat was obtained in the purchase of Predator Yachts and the Predator name incorporated into this Egg Harbor model. Changes were made abovedecks and inside to add Egg Harbor features and quality to the Predator hull and power package. In traditional Express design the helm is located amidships on a large bridgedeck with engines below and seating along the sides. The helm is located on the centerline as an island with walk-around space, including in front of the helm. It is the helm station that tilts up to provide access to the engines. Belowdecks, the cabin has traditional Egg Harbor teak construction and cabinetry. A large angled berth in the bow area is elevated and can be climbed into directly from the cabin area. This is not the traditional stateroom, and has no doorway. A curtain could be hung. The cabin also includes a small galley with Corian countertops and all appliances. The Predator hull's 20 deg deadrise at the transom, should provide a comfortable ride. Power is provided by twin diesel straight inboards of 450-600 HP producing speeds to 40 knots.

37 Sport Yacht

The 37 Sport Yacht was introduced in 2000 as Egg Harbor reopened under a new owner. This model was derived from earlier Egg Harbor models and looks similar. It is a full 37ft 6in LOA with a slightly narrow beam of 13ft 6in. Construction is solid fiberglass in the hull bottom, keel and chines, with foam core construction in the hull sides, decks and cabin top. The hull is flattened toward the rear, like other Egg Harbor designs, to improve speed, with very little deadrise at the transom. This model is designed with a solid front windshield. Inside, a master stateroom forward contains a centerline queen berth, while a guest stateroom offers bunk beds. The galley is moved to the saloon and laid out along the port windows, as in older models, but nicely done with an extened Corian countertop in a choice of colors and modern appliances. It looks nice, although it takes room from an already narrow cabin. Standard power is provided by CAT 3126 engines making 420 HP and producing speeds of 28-32 knots.

43 Sport Yacht

The 43 Sport Yacht was introduced in 2004 to replace the previous 42 footer. The 43 hull is not only a little longer and a little wider, but is a completely different hull, designed by Michael Peters who joined the firm through the acquisition of Predator Yachts. The sharp entry is carried all the way back to the transom with a deeper V to improve rough water performance and tracking. Construction is solid fiberglass in the hull bottom, keel and chines, with foam core construction in the hull sides, decks and cabin top. This Egg Harbor model is designed with a solid front window area. The interior is finished in traditional Egg Harbor style with fine teak cabinetry throughout. The forward master stateroom includes a centerline queen berth, while the guest stateroom to starboard offers a double berth. A single head and shower is shared with both hallway and private access from the master stateroom. Optional layouts offer a dinette or larger saloon. Standard power is provided by 700 HP Cat Diesels, which is what is seen on almost all of these boats. Smaller diesels from Cat and Yanmar are options. Speeds with standard power are about 35-40 knots.

50 Sport Yacht

The 50 Sport Yacht was introduced in 2006 to compete with the big offshore sportfishing yachts of other manufacturers. This newly designed hull has a sharp entry and carries 16 degrees of deadrise back to the stern, creating a more capable sea boat. Inside the 50 Sport Yacht includes 3 staterooms and 2 heads. The master stateroom, on the port side, includes a walk-around queen berth, and private head with shower. The guest stateroom, in the bow, has an offset full-size berth, while the third stateroom includes bunks. Access to the second head and shower is from the forward hallway. On the main saloon level, a well-equipped U-shaped galley and a corner dinette are at the foward end of the saloon to port and starboard respectively. The saloon on this 16'11" beam boat is large and open, and shares the cabin with the galley and dinette. Engine options include twin CATs and MANs from 700-1360 HP producing speeds to 45 knots.
